Kernel Panic - not syncing: VFS : Unable to mount root fs on unknown block(0,0)Īs i said, its a dual boot with vista, which I didnt boot into, even the recovery mode boot wont load. Now I cannot boot back into mint8 at all, i just get an error message.::: after a few minutes of no activity I rebooted manually. I closed the window in question, at which point the screen went blank and i assumed it was rebooting automatically. Anyway, once rebooted, mint said i had to install drivers for my broadcom 4312 wifi card which it did after authentication. It rebooted with no problem so I could remove the dvd from the drive. I d/loaded the mint8 universal dvd and installed on my laptop to dual boot with vista. after trying several live cd's and usb's, i decided on mint. Hi, firstly let me say that i'm very new to linux from windows.
